EXERCISING YOUR SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS

   RULES  *  COMMANDS 


 

 

 
  

 1.  $10 per shooter 3rd Sunday matches

 2.  $15 Night/Day Matches
 3. $10 3Gun Lite
 3.  Fun gun $5 @ regular match
 
 4.  "Fun gun" will be any gun the shooter desires to use.  Compensator's, optical
       sights  may only shoot in this FG class and  may only be shot after your stock
       gun has been shot  in each stage. Your stock gun may be your "Fun Gun"
       *This being said, If 3 shooters show up at the same time with optics on their
       pistol, It will be a class.
 
 5.  Pistols used in the SV3Gun match, any caliber 9mm or larger.  No compensator's, 
      or  *optical sights. See #4
 
 6.   LONG GUNS; Any "tactical rifle" AR Platforms, chambered in .223/5.56 or .300     
       Black Out.  Any legal shotgun.  Optics  are OK.
 7.   We use, 1)"Reactionary", 2)"Knock Down" Pistol & 3) Shotgun steel targets.                  Reactionary targets being knocked down makes another target(s) react that
       will need to be engaged. If the "Reactionary" target is not knocked down it will
       be considered a miss as well as hits not made on the reaction target. All     
       "Reactionary Targets" are set "Lite"
       "Knock Down" targets "Not knocked Down" "Knocked Over" will be counted as
       a miss.  Exceptions to the "Knock Down Target" rule:  Target being "Shot" to a              "Knife's Edge" or 3 conconsecutive hits.
        If for some reason you shoot 2 or more "Shotgun" "Knock Overs" down with 1
        shot, it will be considered a "Luckey Shot" no penalty will be added to the         
        shooter's score at this match. THIS DOES NOT PERTAIN TO "SHOOT
        THROUGHS" ON PAPER TARGETS WITH ANY OF THE 3 FIREARMS.
 
 
 8.   3 dollars of your match fee are S.V. range fees.  Because you have paid a
       range fee, you may use the public range same day after the match, when you
       sign in at the public range after the match let them know you just shot the 3gun.
 
 11.  Anyone, shooter or spectator disrupting the HARMONY of the SV3Gun
        Match in any way will be asked to leave the range by the Match Director.
        Match Director's desision is final !

MATCH SAFETY RULES

 

  • This is a COLD RANGE! NO LOADED FIREARMS UNTIL THE COMMANDED IS GIVEN TO LOAD AT THE FIRING LINE! ALL RIFLES AND SHOTGUN ACTIONS WILL BE OPEN ON THE RACKS!
  • 180 degree rule sise to side and up and down
  • Remember after your last shot, Shooter does not move their feet until after showing clear, slide or cylinder closed, hammer down, and holstered. 
  • If you drop your firearm, DO NOT try to recover it. Let it go. RSO will pick it up and un-load it. This is a disqualifying offence for the days match.
  • At no time will anyone work on or show a firearm in the spectator or shooting area. If you need to work on

        your firearm, the RSO will show you to a safe area.

  • If there’s a target(s) not set in a stage when the shooter starts the stage. The shooter will be given a re-shoot.
  • When "long guns" are in use, and after the "hand Gun" is cleared and holstered, the shooter and "stage Director" will clear each long gun, ie: shotgun and or rifle before declaring a "clear/safe" range.

 

VERBAL SHOOTING COMMANDS

  • Does the shooter understand the stage?   This is the time for the Shooter to ask questions and get           clarification.

                                                                                                                                              

  • Load and make ready.

 

  •  Stand By.

  • Signal buzzer will sound to engage targets.

  • When moving, shooting finger will be along the side of the firearm pointed down        

        range!   Remember the 180 degree rule, side side up and down!

  •  After the last shot, shooter is to remain still and face down range,  firearm in the ready position. ! Do not move Your feet or turn until you’ve been given the command to “UN-LOAD  AND  SHOW  CLEAR,  If the last firearm used was a hand gun; UN-LOAD AND SHOW CLEAR  WILL  BE FOLLOWED  BY;  CLOSE  SLIDE  OR  CYLINDER, HAMMER  DOWN  AND  HOLSTER.  If the last firearm used was a long gun, the Shooter and RSO will in the reverse action un-load and clear ALL firearms before  RSO  DECLARES  THE  RANGE  CLEAR!   

  • Only then can the targets be re-set and taped !
